We have a D-day!

Oh yeah, I guess I forgot to mention the latest news... Sorry for the delay.
Had my latest appt on Thursday. Everything looked good. I was 2 cm dilated and 75% effaced. She asked what I wanted to do. I didn't know that I had options! She said we could wait and measure again at the next appt, go ahead and schedule an induction, or wait it out until the end. I asked her about pros/cons and her thoughts. She suggested an induction to avoid some of the drama we had getting Kenedy into the world. So, she offered Monday or Wednesday as days she would be at the hospital all day. (She only works half time these days, as she just had a baby in January.) She checked the hospital's schedule and said see you Wednesday.

So, if baby girl doesn't decide to make an appearance on her own schedule before then, she will definitely be joining us on Wednesday, April 30. We head into the hospital Wednesday at 7am, go into the ER and register, go up to the 2nd floor and then they'll hook me up to an IV, give me Pitocin, break my water, and go from there. It will be interesting to see how long this whole process lasts.

Look for another update next week... from baby girl Chauvette!

38 Weeks and Counting

Just an update for those of you who are waiting this out with us....
My doctor asked us to schedule a sonogram for 38 weeks because baby has been measuring big for a while now. She was thinking that we may need to induce given our experience with Kenedy. We had the appt today and the sono tech said that baby is measuring about 7 lbs, 6oz, which is just right. Not too big, not too small. So, basically we are just going to be waiting this one out. No induction scheduled. Official due date is May 4, though no one seems to think I'll make it that long. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

We Have A Winner!

Alright, looks like a pretty decisive victory in the finals of the baby name tournament. Camryn/Kamryn has pretty soundly defeated Kaelyn by a 25 to 9 margin.
Many are wondering if I am pleased with result... Well, yes and no. Yes, I like the name Kamryn, though I still am equally partial to a couple of others. However, I don't like the finality of it all. Even if we do decide to use the name, I probably won't make that decision until the last minute. I don't like to have everything decided up front. I like to have some uncertainty and options available. (Hence the fine print in the initial start up of the tournament.)
Thanks to everyone for playing along. It's been fun! If nothing else, it will make for a fun story to tell this baby girl.

Bluebonnet Pictures

On the way home from Corpus this weekend, we stopped to take pictures in the bluebonnets. Here are some of the better shots. My favorites are towards the bottom.
Enjoy!

Weekend in Corpus

Here are some pictures from our trip to Corpus Christi this weekend to visit Memere and Pepere. We went to the beach and played in the sand and the water. At the park, we looked at the ocean off of the pier. A coast guard helicopter showed up and landed in the park. Daddy, Pepere, and Kenedy went and checked it out...
